Growing up in West Point Nebraska, Woody learned the value of hard work, empathy for others and giving freely of his time to help those in need. His parents raised six boys and while they didn't have a lot of money, the boys learned at an early age to work for the extra things they might want and need.
Woody mowed yards, raked leaves, scooped snow – whatever he could do to earn my way. He knew then that hard work pays off. Woody knows there's honor in doing a job well and providing for the needs of your family. He was 3 when his brother went off to the Vietnam War. His parents relied on their deep faith to bring him home safely. The faith they taught Woody and his brothers as kids remains an important part of his life today. Woody is a proud pro-life Catholic who believes that we should treat others with respect and compassion. Those are values he will take into the Legislature to represent Nebraskans.
